DP Gayatri is a Minneapolis-based industrial holding company that owns and operates five businesses serving OEMs across consulting, engineering, and contract assembly. We build, acquire, and grow industrial companies that make things for the people who make things.
DPG was founded by Dipesh Patel with a simple thesis: industrial companies run better when they're owned by operators, not managed by committees. Every company in the DPG portfolio was either built from scratch or acquired and restructured with the same principle -- push authority to the people closest to the work, invest in capability, and let output speak for itself.
We don't flip companies. We don't optimize for quarterly exits. DPG is built on a long-horizon model: acquire or build durable industrial businesses, connect them where it makes sense, and compound over decades.
Every company in our portfolio is run by someone who has done the work. We don't layer in overhead. We push authority down and let capable people lead.
Our consulting practice doesn't sell equipment. Our engineering companies recommend what fits, not what earns a commission. Honest advice is the foundation.
We don't build to exit. We build to compound. Every decision is made with a long horizon in mind -- the kind of thinking that only works when you plan to still be here.

President & CEO, DP Gayatri
Minneapolis, MN
Dipesh founded DP Gayatri to build a durable industrial platform serving OEMs across the upper Midwest and Mexico. Before DPG, he spent years in manufacturing operations, learning the business from the floor up. He leads capital allocation, portfolio strategy, and the consulting practice. DPG reflects his conviction that industrial companies thrive under ownership that understands the work, not just the financials.
